I will dominate 'serious boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua
The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight-bout contest which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the pair confronted each other to publicize the upcoming bout.
Ex two time unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Boxer's Mentality
"I'm going to break his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, stated.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I will really want to injure him. That's what I want to do."
Civil Interaction
Despite these statements, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Paul - typically famous for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul rather attacked ex Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "a joke" after the Cameroonian declined a match opportunity.
Targeting Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, criticized UK rival Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he showed up," Joshua commented.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Opponent
Despite declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he stated.
Paul's Background
Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.
He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.
Financial Success
Still, the inexperienced fighter remains one of boxing's greatest commercial attractions, frequently receiving substantial financial rewards.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28-year-old predicted a KO victory in round four or five and stated he would stop the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly being planned for two years from now.
"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul said.
Size Difference
As both boxers engaged in the traditional confrontation, with their height and weight contrast evident, it highlighted just how surprising this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the bout is truly proceeding.
